Oh What a Wonderful Day - Giveaway!!!

You ever have one of those days and you can help but think "Life is GOOD!"?  Well I'm having one of those days.  I was out walking on King Street and everyone was so cheery, the sun was shining.....honestly how could I not be smiling?!?  When I got back to the store, my favourite song  "Teenage Dream" was on the radio and here I was, rockin' it out drinking my yummy Pumpkin Latte and just enjoying the moment!  Ahhhhh....can it get any better?

SOOOOOOO what I was thinking (and I know you are going to like this), today is the day that I am going to do a little giveaway to spread the cheer.....did you just secret say "yesssss"?  I have had a couple of you out there mention that this could be fun and I completely agree!  A few weeks ago, I won a facebook giveaway by my favourite Canadian body product company called Barefood Venus.  They are based in Western Canada and their products are just SOOO amazing!  All I had to do is answer one little question and I won!  So that is what I am going to do here.

How Can You Win?!?
All you have to do is tell me (via blog post) One way we can make The Paper Pickle better.  Answers could include products we are lacking and should order in.....services that you are looking for from your local paper craft store, etc.  Please think about this and be honest.  As you know, we are always trying to make The Pickle better and make sure it is a store you love as much as we do!  I will keep the contest open until next Thursday, September 30.  One person will be randomly chosen from the various answers and the winner will be announced on October 1st.

What will you win?!?
You will win a brand NEW collection pack from Basic Grey (valued at $25.99).  Did I mention that we got in 5 new collections from Basic Grey just last week?  Collections include:
 - Pyrus
 - Jovial
 - Oliver
 - Olivia
 - Wander

For those of you that prefer the 6x6 pads, we got those in too!

Scrapbook & Cards Magazine is in the House!

Looking for the latest copy of the Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine?  We've got it in!  Receive this magazine absolutely free with $20 purchase!  Limit one per order as we have very limited quantities and would like to spread the cheer as much as possible!!

Can you just feel the love?!?  Have a good weekend and make it memorable!

Hey Kim,

What about selling some of your "display" cards? Or how about a refer a friend program? Like I refer a friend and get $$ off my next purchase or something like that. I have a friend coming from Sarnia to your store!!

Hi Kim,
What a great giveaway idea and the prize is fabulous! I would love it if you had more technique classes or even a 'let's go back to the basics' for cardmaking and colouring (i.e. lighting, shading, shadows). Of course more classes with Linda Heavens on Copics, Prismas and combining the 2 mediums would also be fabulous. Hugs, Maria

I would love to see more classes for beginners or those who're interested in seeing if scrapbooking is right for them so they can try out basic techniques and learn about layouts, etc. If you carried more magazines for sale that would be great, too! Your store already does have a great collection of items of all different kinds - keep it up :)

Hey Kim,

I would love to see more variety in acrylic stamps being the avid stamper that I am. As well as some more basic punches - like circles, squares, floral shapes, snowflakes, etc. Loving this giveaway idea!!!

I'd love to rent equipment like stamps, nestabilites, acrylics, etc. I like to try before I buy !!! If you had a bigger location you could rent out an area for customers to come in and scrap and use equipment, pay by the hour to sit at a table type of thing....a home away from home without interupptions.

I'd LOVE to buy your display cards, LOVE to see more mini albums and more paper selection...

Even if you don't change a thing, it's my fav local shop to visit !!!

I would love to see more classes with a variety of themes, ie. masculine cards, baby cards, wedding cards, etc. Also offering classes with a lot of the new techniques that are constantly coming out. I have loved your classes that I have taken in the past - I find they get me really motivated and enthused to make more cards. I would just like to see more of them. I also think having another room set up to be able to try out some of the products or to make some items would be great -- then you wouldn't be interfering with your customer sales area. I am so glad we have a local store that can provide us with stamping supplies and such awesome ladies to inspire us. Keep up the great work, Kim & Kell.

Hey Kim,

Thanks for this awesome opportunity. I was really excited to see all the new things you can make with those new kits you have at the store.

I would love to see more classes that teach us some creative ways to put those together. I love looking at all your ideas. You are so creative.

Thank You

Kim

The "Pickle" is perfect just the way it is! I love the the variety of product that speaks to us regardless of our level of creativity. If you added more classes that would be great and I'm looking forward to the return of the Friday Make and Takes. Thank you Kim for all you do to make us feel so welcomed every time we come to visit the store

Well you obviously know that I LOVE the Pickle and seem to always find something to buy.
As for product...I know that you still have some favorites of mine coming in..but i also like the MME lines.
A "try it before your buy it" area or designated day would be a fun feature. We have chatted a bunch recently. Thanks for the chance to win this lovely pack!!!!

I think you should make up a monthly card kits class where you supply all the card stock,pp,and stamp ribbion and brads to make a card with the how to instructions on how to put together so we can take it home and make on our time.I would love to attend your classes but with my husband work schdule we never know if he will be home or not so can't attend at least this way if you do the card kits I can run up grab one and bring it home to make

I would like to see a crop night, perhaps once a month, to meet with new people and see how their creativity flows. Ladies could share their ideas with other and show different techniques. It could be a ladies night out, and some serious shopping could be done at the same time!

Hey Kim/Kell...
How about getting a Cricket machine with some cartridges so people could buy their favourite paper & cut out their favourite die-cut(s) or titles on the Cricket for a small fee like your stamp rentals without incurring the cost of the machine & cartridge themselves. Also, then what about having a cuttlebug available for people to use as well?

I love the Pickle as is, you know I have to get my fix every few weeks or so...so the only thing I would like to see is more variety of rubber stamp companies....being the rubber junkie that I am (I just can't get enough)!!!!

I would love to be able to rent some dies - especially the larger ones, like Tim Holtz's and punches. That way I can decide if I like them enough to buy one. I have a couple of punches that I bought that I seldom ever use so I wish I had a chance to actually use them first. Also, I would love to have a stamp exchange program so we can all exchange the stamps we own that we are tired of.

I would love if you had a work space so I could escape and get some work done. You could charge by time used or have a yearly membership. While there you could use any rental stamps, provided you cleaned them yourself.
Also maybe provide instructions on sample card techniques if unable to make classes.

New product demos may be a cool thing. I know I have a hard time keeping up with all the new things coming out all the time, so getting to see them in action would be really helpful!

And I could never say no to more Tim Holtz products ;)

Hi Kim,

I'd have to say that I love the Pickle as it is...I'm always able to find something new whenever I come into the store.

I would be interested in seeing more stamp lines (cause I can never get enough of rubber stamps).

Thanks for the chance to win this fabulous prize!!

Hi Kim,

I love looking over the cards in the store so it would be nice to see more cards or tags and why not put them right on the hook where the stamp is on the rack. That way you can see how the stamp was used and the stamp is right there so you don't have to search through the store for it. Cards that you no longer have the stamp for can be displayed separately to be sold.

Otherwise, I love the store! Love the Happy Hours! Love how helpful everyone is!
